Metsorb Arsenic Removal Media
Duff Co. is an exclusive distributor of Metsorb.
MetSorb® granular adsorbents use a patented material to adsorb multiple metals at once. High removal efficiency can be achieved in contact times as low as 90 seconds, and the media affords a higher capacity and a lower level of ion interference than competitive iron and alumina-based products.
It can be installed at the point of entry (POE, whole house systems) or at the point of use (POU, under the sink) and works in drinking water applications with a pH range of 6.5-8.5.
Metsorb® outperformed competitive products in a pilot study for the reduction of arsenic in drinking water.
Metsorb® can be used to remove:
- Arsenic (As)
- Antimony (Sb)
- Uranium (U)
- Lead (Pb)
Ongoing water quality compliance testing has confirmed the presence of Arsenic, Antimony, Uranium and/or Lead, and in many cases multiple contaminants, in water systems across the country.
In New England, regulators have identified the co-occurrence of Arsenic and Uranium and, with the support of the U.S. Geological Survey, are extending the water quality evaluations to include private residential wells. New Jersey wells similarly may be impacted by Arsenic or heavy metals. Metsorb can aid water treatment professions who are challenged to source treatment that will effectively address both Arsenic and Uranium removal in water systems.
